Malama Maui Sticker
I painted this trying to show how the fires have affected the whole island. Everyone is grieving. Maui is a second home for my family. My husband grew up there. We have family living there. We’ve lived there. My oldest daughter was born there. We’re very lucky that our family there is safe, but they are living through yet another crisis. They have opened their homes to families who have lost everything, and disaster relief leaders. Lahaina is gone. That statement is one that absolutely no one was ever prepared to hear.
Malama means to care for and protect. Right now Maui needs a lot of care. All sales from this sticker will be used to help Maui by covering supplies and shipping for baby blankets and keepsake ornaments, and going directly to families that are literally having to rebuild their life from the ground up.
